How to Get FC 27 Transfer Market Access on Web and Companion Apps

How to Get FC 27 Transfer Market Access on Web and Companion Apps

How to Get FC 27 Transfer Market Access on Web and Companion Apps - Baskingamer.com

If you have opened the FC 27 Web App or Companion App, logged into Ultimate Team and then found the Transfer Market locked, you are not necessarily doing anything wrong.

EA treats Transfer Market access on the Web and Companion Apps as a separate unlock. Some returning players get it automatically based on their previous FC activity. Others have to earn it by playing Ultimate Team in FC 27.

That distinction is easy to miss, especially during launch week.

The good news is that EA has now laid out the conditions for FC 27, including what counts as an active day, how many active days you may need, and what happens if you have multiple Ultimate Team accounts on the same device.

Quick Summary

  • FC 27 Web App: Available from September 16, 2026.
  • FC 27 Companion App: Available from September 17, 2026.
  • Returning players may receive Transfer Market access automatically.
  • You need an EA Account in good standing for automatic returning-player access.
  • If you do not receive automatic access, you can earn Web and Companion Market access by playing Ultimate Team.
  • One active day means playing three full Ultimate Team matches and logging into the Web or Companion App on the same UTC calendar day.
  • EA says a single-account device will normally require two active days.
  • If other Ultimate Team accounts have been used on the same device, access will normally take at least four active days.
  • Completing the in-game Transfer Market objectives does not automatically unlock the Web or Companion App Market.
  • After November 7, 2026 at 11:59:50 PM UTC, you must log into Ultimate Team on PC or console at least once to continue using both apps.

How Transfer Market Access Works in FC 27

There are actually two things that can get confused here.

You can have access to the in-game Transfer Market while still waiting for access to the market through the Web App or Companion App. EA handles those systems separately.

For the Web and Companion Apps, access depends on your previous Ultimate Team history, account status and activity in FC 27.

If you played an earlier FC game and already qualified for the market, you may have started FC 27 with access. If not, you can earn it through Ultimate Team activity.

So if you can open the app but cannot search for players, place bids or use the market normally, the issue may simply be that your account has not received remote Transfer Market access yet.

Returning FC Players May Already Have Access

Returning players have a different starting point.

EA says you may qualify for automatic Web and Companion App Transfer Market access if your EA Account is in good standing and you previously earned Transfer Market access in one of these games before the specified cutoff:

Previous gameAccess needed before
FC 26August 1, 2026
FC 25August 1, 2025
FC 24August 1, 2024

Eligible returning players could use the FC 27 Web App from September 16 and the Companion App from September 17.

That does not mean every FC 26 player automatically receives access.

Your account still needs to be in good standing, and EA also considers whether you previously earned access to the market.

This is one reason two players starting FC 27 at the same time can see different Transfer Market options.

What If the Transfer Market Is Still Locked?

If you did not receive automatic access, EA says you need to earn access by playing Ultimate Team.

The important part is that playing matches alone is not the whole requirement.

EA defines an active day using two actions:

  1. Play three full Ultimate Team matches.
  2. Log into the Web App or Companion App during the same calendar day.

EA measures that calendar day using UTC, so your local midnight does not necessarily determine when a new active day begins.

There is also a limit to how much extra grinding helps.

Playing more than three matches on the same day does not increase your chances of unlocking the Transfer Market for that active day.

So playing 10 or 15 matches in one day is not the shortcut it might seem to be.

The important thing is creating qualifying active days.

How Many Active Days Do You Need?

This depends partly on the accounts being used on your device.

For an Ultimate Team account in good standing where no other Ultimate Team account has been created or used on the same device, EA says access will normally be earned after two active days.

If other Ultimate Team accounts have been created or used on that device, EA says access will normally take at least four active days.

The more Ultimate Team accounts used on the device, the longer it may take for each account to earn access.

That makes the active-day system particularly important for players who share a console or PC setup with multiple Ultimate Team accounts.

Example

Imagine you have one Ultimate Team account on your console.

On Day 1, you:

  • Play three full Ultimate Team matches.
  • Log into the Web App.

That counts as one active day.

Do the same thing on another UTC calendar day and you have reached two active days. EA says a clean, single-account setup will normally earn access after that point.

It is not an instant guarantee, though. EA specifically uses the word “normally,” and says access can depend on other factors.

Why You Might Still Not Have Access After Playing

EA lists several factors that can affect how long the process takes.

Your account’s standing matters. The number of Ultimate Team accounts used on the same device matters too. Your number of qualifying active days also matters.

This is why simply counting matches is not enough.

For example, someone might say they have already played 30 matches and wonder why the market remains locked. If those matches were spread across the wrong pattern of days, or the player did not log into the Web or Companion App on those same UTC days, they may not have accumulated the active days EA is looking for.

EA also says its advisors cannot manually grant Transfer Market access or tell you exactly when your account will receive it.

Once you earn access, EA says you will receive a message inside your Ultimate Team account. You can also check the Web App or Companion App to confirm that the market has opened.

New Players Have Another Transfer Market Requirement

There is an important distinction for players who are completely new to EA SPORTS FC.

EA also uses a Graduated Access system for the in-game Transfer Market. New players must complete a sequence of Ultimate Team Objective Groups before receiving full in-game market access.

The current sequence is:

  1. The Journey Begins
  2. First Team Dreams
  3. Rising Through the Ranks

Completing Rising Through the Ranks unlocks the in-game Transfer Market and Champions access, although EA says there can be a delay before full access becomes available.

But here is the part that can cause confusion:

Completing those objectives does not automatically unlock the Transfer Market on the Web App or Companion App.

The remote market has its own access requirements.

So if you finish the objectives and still cannot use the Transfer Market on your phone or browser, that does not necessarily mean something has gone wrong.

Web App and Companion App Use the Same Access

The Web App and Companion App are essentially two ways of managing the same Ultimate Team club away from the main game.

The Web App runs through a browser, while the Companion App is available on iOS and Android. You need to sign in with the EA Account linked to the FC 27 Ultimate Team club you are trying to manage.

This is worth checking if the wrong club appears after logging in.

If your Ultimate Team club does not load as expected, make sure you are using the EA Account associated with your game rather than another EA account you may have used previously.

What Happens If You Were Banned in FC 26?

A Transfer Market ban from FC 26 does not simply carry over as a Transfer Market ban into FC 27.

EA says that if you were banned from the Transfer Market in FC 26, that specific ban will not transfer to FC 27. However, you will not receive automatic Transfer Market access in FC 27 and will need to earn it by playing Ultimate Team.

There is an important exception: a franchise-level ban does carry over and can affect Transfer Market access in FC 27.

If the Web App or Companion App specifically says your account has been blocked because of a rules violation, check the email associated with your EA Account. EA says blocked players are informed about the reason and the available next steps there.

Do You Need to Log Into FC 27 Before November 7?

There is another deadline worth knowing about if you plan to spend the opening weeks managing Ultimate Team mainly through your phone or browser.

EA says that after November 7, 2026 at 11:59:50 PM UTC, you must have logged into Ultimate Team in FC 27 on PC or console at least once to continue using both the Web App and Companion App.

That is separate from earning Transfer Market access.

Think of it as an ongoing requirement for continued app use rather than another Transfer Market unlock condition.

What to Do If Your FC 27 Transfer Market Is Locked

If you are staring at a locked market right now, work through these checks rather than repeatedly refreshing the app.

First, check your EA Account. Make sure you are using the account connected to your FC 27 Ultimate Team club.

Next, check your previous FC history. If you played FC 26, FC 25 or FC 24 and previously earned Transfer Market access before EA’s relevant cutoff dates, you may qualify as a returning player.

If you do not have automatic access, start building active days. Play three full Ultimate Team matches and log into the Web App or Companion App on the same UTC calendar day.

Do not rely on match volume alone. More than three matches in a day does not create additional active-day progress.

Check how many Ultimate Team accounts have been used on your device. EA says multiple accounts can increase the normal time required to earn access.

And if you receive an actual blocked-account message, treat that differently from a normal unlock delay. A block can indicate an account enforcement issue rather than an account that simply needs more active days.

The Short Answer

If you are a returning FC player with a qualifying history and an account in good standing, you may already have FC 27 Transfer Market access on the Web App and Companion App.

If you do not, you cannot simply unlock it by playing a huge number of matches in one day.

EA’s current system is based on qualifying active days: three full Ultimate Team matches plus a Web or Companion App login on the same UTC calendar day. A single-account device will normally reach access after two active days, while devices with other Ultimate Team accounts may take at least four.

And if you have completed the new-player objectives for the in-game Transfer Market, remember that the Web and Companion App market has a separate unlock system.

That is the part most likely to save you some frustration during FC 27’s launch period.

FAQ

Why is the FC 27 Transfer Market locked on the Web App?

You may not have automatic Web App Transfer Market access. Returning players must meet EA’s previous-access and account-standing requirements, while other players need to earn access through Ultimate Team activity.

How many matches count toward an active day?

EA defines an active day as three full Ultimate Team matches plus a Web App or Companion App login on the same UTC calendar day.

Can I play more than three matches to unlock the market faster?

No. EA says playing more than three matches in a day will not increase your chances of unlocking the Transfer Market.

How many active days are normally required?

EA says a qualifying account with no other Ultimate Team accounts used on the device will normally receive access after two active days. If other Ultimate Team accounts have been used on the device, access will normally take at least four active days.

Does completing the Transfer Market objectives unlock the Web App market?

No. The in-game Graduated Access system and the Web/Companion App Transfer Market access system are separate.

Does an FC 26 Transfer Market ban carry over to FC 27?

The specific FC 26 Transfer Market ban does not carry over, according to EA. However, the player will not receive automatic FC 27 market access and must earn it. A franchise-level ban can carry over.

When is the FC 27 Web App deadline?

After November 7, 2026 at 11:59:50 PM UTC, EA requires players to have logged into FC 27 Ultimate Team on PC or console at least once to continue using the Web App and Companion App.

Why can’t EA Support simply unlock my Transfer Market?

EA says its advisors cannot manually grant Transfer Market access or tell players exactly when their access will arrive.
