Roblox Aims to Keep Chatting Within Its Platform
Roblox users now have an exciting new way to connect while gaming, with the introduction of Party, a feature set designed to enhance social interactions on the platform. Starting Monday, players logging in can experience group chats, bringing a touch of Discord-like functionality directly into Roblox.
Previously, Roblox gamers often relied on external apps to coordinate and communicate during sessions. While some games offered built-in chat, those were server-based and temporary, disappearing when players left the game. Party changes the game, enabling up to six users to form persistent group chats while enjoying their favorite Roblox games, such as Dress to Impress.
Currently, Party supports text messaging, but the company plans to roll out voice chat soon, further solidifying Roblox as a one-stop hub for gaming and social interaction.
